Do you work with non-athletes?

Absolutely! We work with anyone who wants to improve their mental health and performance psychology skills.

Do you work with children?

Yes, we typically see kids starting around middle-school age and all the way up through the entire life span.

Do you offer both in-person and virtual sessions?

Yes. In our experience, most of our clients prefer to meet in person, but we also offer virtual sessions for those who are interested.

Can you provide services to us if we are in a different state?

Yes. Some of our providers have earned the “Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Teletherapy” credential, which allows us to practice across state lines if appropriate.

Do you take insurance?

No. We are out-of-network providers for all insurance companies. If requested, we provide our clients with a superbill that they can submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.

How many sessions does it typically take before a client improves?

It is difficult to say because it depends on the client, their issues, and their treatment goals. Some issues are situational and can resolve relatively quickly in a matter of weeks, others problems are more entrenched patterns and can take longer. Our goal is to always strive to help you meet your goals in the most efficient way possible. The sooner you are feeling better the happier we are!

What is the difference between therapy, coaching and consultation?

Therapy is typically for people with issues that are causing significant distress in their lives. The focus may be on concrete clinical strategies to manage their emotions, thought patterns, or behavior in relationships. It can also involve understanding how your history of life experiences may be contributing to your difficulties.

Many of our clients start out in therapy but choose to continue their work with our doctors once their symptoms have improved. They prefer to continue with ongoing coaching on the application of the strategies they have learned, to maintain their improvement and prevent the problem from returning.

Others prefer a consultation model, where they will come in as needed for a number of sessions for help with a new issue or an older one that has returned.
